The Pitt Legal Income Sharing Foundation or PLISF is a student-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Founded by Pitt Law students who wanted to help their fellow students pursue public interest internships and careers, PLISF is committed to helping individuals and communities traditionally underserved by the legal profession. Throughout the year, PLISF fundraises to provide scholarships to students taking public interest internship positions. PLISF also holds events, coordinates volunteer opportunities, and advertises job openings to support and promote student interest and practice in public interest law.

PLISF raises money for the Scholarship Fund in a variety of ways:

PLISF funds are distributed as scholarships given to Pitt Law students who will work in unpaid public interest summer jobs.

PLISF members also participate in collecting charity donations and community service activities. We also hold an annual public interest career panel to promote student interest in public interest careers.
