In order to develop best practices, learn from the experience of previous iterations of the PLISF Board of Directors, and create a strong network in the community, PLISF has established a Board of Advisors. The Board of Advisors is comprised of Pitt Law faculty and staff, members of the Greater Pittsburgh area legal and non-profit community, and former members of the PLISF Board of Directors. PLISF's Advisors meet at least once per semester to discuss opportunities and challenges facing PLISF and provide guidance to make each year of PLISF more successful than the last.

The Board of Advisors is an independent body, with the President of the PLISF Board of Directors and our Pitt Law Faculty Advisor attending meetings as observers and consultants. Advisors serve two-year terms and may be reconfirmed to this position by a majority vote of the Board of Advisors for another term as many times as they are so able.

The Board of Advisors was established out of a redrafting of the PLISF By-Laws during the 2014-2015 term and membership is currently being recruited.
